DataVerify and DataLoad are part of an automated process to load data from the District SIS (Student Information System) into STARS™. This process, commonly known as ETL (Extract, transform and Load) extracts roster and relevant information automatically and periodically from the District SIS and imports it to SchoolCity's STARS™ system. During this process, the data is verified for integrity using the DataVerify engine. Any "dirty" data that may be incompatible with the existing data store is automatically rejected and a report detailing the issues is generated. Limited data cleansing is performed, where there is low risk of data corruption.
The periodic importing of data from the SIS to STARS™ may be set up, as desired by each user.
This process eliminates the need for manual extracts from the SIS and manual uploads to STARS™; saving time, and making data available for analysis while it is current.
